I love Alia. My frenemy named her second daughter Alia back in 1975, when almost no one had heard of it. Well, no one in the US, I would say. She pronounced it with the initial A having a slight ahh sound.

With this spelling I jump between A-lee-a and a-LEE-a. With other spellings I just say a-LEE-a but with Alia I lean towards A-lee-a.

ETA: Woah, I just realized Alia, Aliya, Aliya, and Aaliyah weren't all related. I thought I was thinking about Alia vs. Aliya va. Aliyah etc. when I said "other spellings". So I guess I should be comparying Alia and Alya?

It sounds nice but the spelling doesn't really appeal to me for some reason.

Very nice, I definitely prefer it to Aaliyah.
