Leonie discovered three months after Emily’s birth that she was again pregnant, which was a surprise to both of them. The idea of having three children under age four was a bit daunting, but she and Reid were nonetheless happy. Unfortunately, a month later the baby miscarried before they knew its sex or had settled on a name.

Sadly, the stresses over the past few years – from things like their children and Reid’s intense job - and grief that hit them after their baby’s miscarriage wore on the Holmes’ relationship and they decided to divorce. Both have remarried: Reid to a nurse he knew from a hospital he delivers patients to on the job, and Leonie to a travel agent she met when her friends took her for a rare night out. The children live with Leonie, and Reid visits and takes them to stay with him when his work schedule allows.

Reid’s wife Phoebe had an affair with a doctor at the hospital where she works. Reid didn’t find out, though. Things can a bit chaotic and expensive with their long-hour, high stress jobs and infant twins who need childcare, but their relationship seems to be good and they are still together.
Leonie, Vincent, and the kids have moved to a new house – good thing, it was getting a bit crowded in their flat! Now the boys and girls will have a room to share once the twins are ready and they have another “extra” room in case any more children arrive – which they’re not particularly planning on at this point, but not ruling out either.

Unfortunately, Reid and Phoebe had to file for bankruptcy. They’re hanging on and hoping to sort things out soon, but things are still a bit stressful for them right now.
The Martell-Holmes family adopted a dog! They’ve named their little French bulldog Poppy which seems to suit her happy, bright personality.

It’s another set of twins for the Holmes family! This time they fraternal twins, a girl and a boy. They’re happy of course, but it does add to their already strained finances and overall busyness. They went with non-matchy names for the twins this time, settling on Skye and Alex (Reid’s middle name).
The Martell-Holmes family has also grown this year. They’ve had a baby girl! They named her Charlotte, and haven’t quite decided whether they’ll call her Charley or Lottie yet. Her middle name Marion honors Leonie’s mother whose cancer now seems to be in remission!

Reid and Phoebe got another surprise this year – a baby boy! (Thankfully not twins again!) They named him Noah and gave him the middle name Logan after Reid’s favorite uncle who recently passed away.
Leonie and Vincent also discovered that they were pregnant without having planned it. Sadly, the baby miscarried. This brought back all of the latent grief from her first miscarriage and she’s decided to see a therapist to help her through this difficult time.

Pheobe’s mother, Sharon, has come to live with them, at least for the time being. While their financial state is getting better, she’ll help out a lot by watching the little ones during the day and helping out after school.
The Martell-Holmes’ss decided they did want another baby after all, and tried but didn’t conceive. However, a unique opportunity opened up for them to adopt and they decided quickly to do so. They’ve adopted a twelve year old boy whose parents passed away in an accident and who didn’t have any other family members in England or Japan (where his parents were from) who could take him in. He is one of James’ friends from school, which is how they heard about his situation. They asked him if he wanted to take their last name or not and he said yes, so they hyphenated it. They’ve got him in therapy, of course, and he seems to be fitting in well with the other children already. He says he’s happy to have siblings, actually, as he always wanted at least one and now he has five!

Phoebe has been diagnosed with cancer. The family is shocked and worried, but trying to be positive. Reid is glad that Sharon is staying with them as Phoebe really needs her support and help, especially as she is trying to continue working.
There’s been another adoption! One dog apparently isn’t enough for the big Martell-Holmes and they’ve adopted another (and Lord help them, a puppy!). This time they’ve got a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix (with maybe retriever? They’re not sure, it was from Vincent’s friends’ spaniel’s accidental litter, but he’s cute so who cares). They’ve named him Felix.

It’s the Holmes family’s turn to adopt a dog! With everything going on with Phoebe’s diagnosis last year, they thought a dog would help the children, and he’s certainly brought them joy so far. Archie is a West Highland White Terrier.
Leonie has changed careers. After years of being a massage therapist, Leonie has decided that it’s time to switch to a less commission-based and slightly less physically-demanding job and has just finished her studies to become a physical therapist assistant.

@ArchietheWestie has become Insta-famous! This has proved fun for the family and also financially bolstering, as Archie has inspired some ad deals with pet food and gear companies.
The Martell-Holmes family, who had been living in a three-bedroom house, have upgraded to a five-bedroom. This is a very welcome change, as they had previously had to make a room for Rohan onto the enclosed porch and squeeze a bed for Charlotte in with Emily and Sophie’s bunk bed.

Reid and Phoebe have had another baby boy! When they found out they were pregnant, they were concerned, but thankfully the doctors said that since her cancer was in remission and it wasn’t a kind that should affect the pregnancy’s viability, they should be fine to proceed with close monitoring. Their little guy is named Brody.
Leonie and Vincent also appear to have gotten the baby memo. They decided they wanted to have at least one more child (crazy, they know). They’ve had a little girl, whom they named Grace. They liked the name Hannah as well, and when Rohan suggested the spelling Hana (a Japanese name meaning “flower”) they thought it was the perfect choice, a more modern-looking spelling and a subtle sign of how much Rohan has become part of their family in spirit as well as in name.

Feeling like she has gotten a new lease on life, Phoebe told Reid that she wanted another baby right away. He said okay and they just welcomed their third daughter, Scarlett!
Sadly, Vincent’s mother, Elise, passed away this year from pneumonia after a being weakened from an unrelated illness.

Reid had a brief affair with Noah’s 27-year old teacher. Similar to Phoebe’s affair all of those years ago, his wife does not find out and they remain together, for which he is grateful.
Surprise! It’s an unexpected pregnancy for the Martells. This time they have another boy, which gives them four of each. They name Oliver and give him the middle name Dominic in honor of his mother, whose middle name was Dominique.

Reid and Phoebe became pregnant again this year, but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. Leonie reached out to her to say that she was happy to talk with her any time she needed a shoulder, as she understood the pain she was going through.
The Martell-Holmes clan bundled up all of the kids (except Ruby and Oliver, who are staying with Phoebe’s parents) and took a vacation out of the country! They chose Norway because they like to enjoy nature and wanted to see the amazing fjords! With three teenagers hoping to see some amazing Norwegian love interests, Leonie and Vincent will probably be busy keeping an eye on more than just the landscape.

Unfortunately, Reid and Phoebe had to file for bankruptcy. They’re hanging on and hoping to sort things out soon, but things are still a bit stressful for them right now.
The Martell-Holmes family adopted a dog! They’ve named their little French bulldog Poppy which seems to suit her happy, bright personality.

It’s another set of twins for the Holmes family! This time they fraternal twins, a girl and a boy. They’re happy of course, but it does add to their already strained finances and overall busyness. They went with non-matchy names for the twins this time, settling on Skye and Alex (Reid’s middle name).
The Martell-Holmes family has also grown this year. They’ve had a baby girl! They named her Charlotte, and haven’t quite decided whether they’ll call her Charley or Lottie yet. Her middle name Marion honors Leonie’s mother whose cancer now seems to be in remission!

Reid and Phoebe got another surprise this year – a baby boy! (Thankfully not twins again!) They named him Noah and gave him the middle name Logan after Reid’s favorite uncle who recently passed away.
Leonie and Vincent also discovered that they were pregnant without having planned it. Sadly, the baby miscarried. This brought back all of the latent grief from her first miscarriage and she’s decided to see a therapist to help her through this difficult time.

Pheobe’s mother, Sharon, has come to live with them, at least for the time being. While their financial state is getting better, she’ll help out a lot by watching the little ones during the day and helping out after school.
The Martell-Holmes’ss decided they did want another baby after all, and tried but didn’t conceive. However, a unique opportunity opened up for them to adopt and they decided quickly to do so. They’ve adopted a twelve year old boy whose parents passed away in an accident and who didn’t have any other family members in England or Japan (where his parents were from) who could take him in. He is one of James’ friends from school, which is how they heard about his situation. They asked him if he wanted to take their last name or not and he said yes, so they hyphenated it. They’ve got him in therapy, of course, and he seems to be fitting in well with the other children already. He says he’s happy to have siblings, actually, as he always wanted at least one and now he has five!

Phoebe has been diagnosed with cancer. The family is shocked and worried, but trying to be positive. Reid is glad that Sharon is staying with them as Phoebe really needs her support and help, especially as she is trying to continue working.
There’s been another adoption! One dog apparently isn’t enough for the big Martell-Holmes and they’ve adopted another (and Lord help them, a puppy!). This time they’ve got a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix (with maybe retriever? They’re not sure, it was from Vincent’s friends’ spaniel’s accidental litter, but he’s cute so who cares). They’ve named him Felix.

It’s the Holmes family’s turn to adopt a dog! With everything going on with Phoebe’s diagnosis last year, they thought a dog would help the children, and he’s certainly brought them joy so far. Archie is a West Highland White Terrier.
Leonie has changed careers. After years of being a massage therapist, Leonie has decided that it’s time to switch to a less commission-based and slightly less physically-demanding job and has just finished her studies to become a physical therapist assistant.

@ArchietheWestie has become Insta-famous! This has proved fun for the family and also financially bolstering, as Archie has inspired some ad deals with pet food and gear companies.
The Martell-Holmes family, who had been living in a three-bedroom house, have upgraded to a five-bedroom. This is a very welcome change, as they had previously had to make a room for Rohan onto the enclosed porch and squeeze a bed for Charlotte in with Emily and Sophie’s bunk bed.

Reid and Phoebe have had another baby boy! When they found out they were pregnant, they were concerned, but thankfully the doctors said that since her cancer was in remission and it wasn’t a kind that should affect the pregnancy’s viability, they should be fine to proceed with close monitoring. Their little guy is named Brody.
Leonie and Vincent also appear to have gotten the baby memo. They decided they wanted to have at least one more child (crazy, they know). They’ve had a little girl, whom they named Grace. They liked the name Hannah as well, and when Rohan suggested the spelling Hana (a Japanese name meaning “flower”) they thought it was the perfect choice, a more modern-looking spelling and a subtle sign of how much Rohan has become part of their family in spirit as well as in name.

Feeling like she has gotten a new lease on life, Phoebe told Reid that she wanted another baby right away. He said okay and they just welcomed their third daughter, Scarlett!
Sadly, Vincent’s mother, Elise, passed away this year from pneumonia after a being weakened from an unrelated illness.

Reid had a brief affair with Noah’s 27-year old teacher. Similar to Phoebe’s affair all of those years ago, his wife does not find out and they remain together, for which he is grateful.
Surprise! It’s an unexpected pregnancy for the Martells. This time they have another boy, which gives them four of each. They name Oliver and give him the middle name Dominic in honor of his mother, whose middle name was Dominique.

Reid and Phoebe became pregnant again this year, but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. Leonie reached out to her to say that she was happy to talk with her any time she needed a shoulder, as she understood the pain she was going through.
The Martell-Holmes clan bundled up all of the kids (except Ruby and Oliver, who are staying with Phoebe’s parents) and took a vacation out of the country! They chose Norway because they like to enjoy nature and wanted to see the amazing fjords! With three teenagers hoping to see some amazing Norwegian love interests, Leonie and Vincent will probably be busy keeping an eye on more than just the landscape.
