The Fay family took a big decision this year. When Athanase's elder sister Domitille died many years ago, her three young children were left in the care of their father, Raphael Raynaud, a well-meaning if sometimes slightly incompetent man. However, Raphael has sadly recently passed away. It was a big decision, but the couple chose to take the children into their care - especially given Athanase's inability to reproduce himself, this feels right.
