1) Ray's sister, Arielle becomes Insta-famous for her creative cake designs.
2) Ray and Sky adopt a 5 year old boy through the local social care system. His name is Jack Harrison.
3) Ray is diagnosed with breast cancer. She undergoes an operation to remove the tumour and follows with chemotherapy.
4) Jack is diagnosed with ASD. He is high-functioning and continues in his mainstream provision with increased awareness and support.

6) The Middletons adopt a 10month old Staffordshire bull terrier cross. Jack renames him Gunnar.
