Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald welcomed a baby girl, Ivy Jane Seewald on Sunday. WDYT? I really like the name.

I love the Duggars and although I personally don't like the name Ivy, it does work well for Jessa. It's short, simple, and flows well with Spurgeon and Henry. I do agree with Piccadilly and that Spurgeon did get the short end of the stick, had he been called Elliott, it would be a better sibset.

I love both names! My only concern is that they're both really short, but I'm still fond of the combination.

He really got the short end of the stick when it came to names in that family. If his first name had been Elliot instead of his middle that set would be so much more congruent...
That being said Ivy Jane is precious. It's a sweet, simple name and I'm glad she wasn't saddled with something heavier.

I agree, I think certain honoring surnames, like Spurgeon, are better as middle names.

With one child named Henry and the other Spurgeon, I would have been hard pressed to guess which way they would go with this next child. I have to admit, I'm pleasantly surprised. I really quite like it.

Same opinion as others, Elliot, Henry and Ivy would have been a much nicer sibset.
I like Ivy Jane! It’s short and sweet and a little vintage. Almost too short maybe? Given that both her brothers have very weighty, meaning-laden names. Henry Wilberforce is a powerhouse of a name and Ivy Jane seems inconsequential by comparison.
