Mirren really doesn't appeal to me. I love Marianne and don't mind Marion and Marian, but Mirren sounds sloppy and looks like a mess, or a slurred midden. For something close to it but better, there's always Mirabel or Miranda.
Luckily, Maeve is really nice! Sounds good, looks stylish, could shorten to fashionable May or Mae if it had to, but really it can stand alone.
