I dislike Brennan on either. On a boy, it sounds like a sloppy version of Brendan, and on a girl it's just part of the current gender-bender trend.
If you like Brenna, and actually prefer it to Brenda, why not just use it and not mess about with Brennan and its unconvincing nns?
