[Opinions] Armenian names
Hi !!!
There are a lot of Armenian names in the Submitted Names Board in these days so I'd like to ask you...
What are your favourite Armenian names?
Do you know anyone in real life from this culture? What is his/her name?
I also tried to translitterate my name into the Armenian alphabet (for fun!).
Rossana > Ռոսանա (with just one 's' as I don't know if there are double letters).

Most Armenian people I know have names like Ane/Anna or George that is easily translatable into English. I find the sound of most Armenian names to be harsh to my ears. I really like Hasmik (jasmine).

Don't know any Armenian people but there is an Armenian Youtuber named Teni Panosian.
My favorites, ranked:
Gayane/Kayane -love how elegant it sounds
Lilit -a cuter version of Lilith (which I also love)
Lucine/Lucineh
Avetis
Siran
Miray
Anahit
Zaruhi -sounds like Japanese Haruhi
Talin
Narine
Adrine
Tigranes -loove it, might actually use it as a middle name
Zhirayr -has a really cool vibe
Armen
Mihran
Khoren -sounds youthful and modern
Aren
Astrik -quirky and cute; don't mind the reference to an asterisk
Arevik
Kirakos

The only Armenian person I've ever met who had a "traditional" name was a woman named Naneh (nuh-NAY). Nane is a submitted name in the database, so I gather Naneh is a variant.
As far as Armenian names I like... I do like:
Adrine (ah-DREE-neh)
Aghavni (arh-HAV-nee; the "gh" is like a French "r")
Fenya
Lucine (though my instinct is to pronounce that as though it were French - Lusineh would be better for the Armenian loo-SEE-neh)
Narine (nah-REE-nay)
Syune (SYOO-nay)
Talin (tah-LEEN)
Zabel
&
Levon
Rudik
Seyran
Tahmaz / Tamaz
Taron (though I'm more familiar with this as a Welsh name)
Toros
Vahan
Vahram
Vardan
Zhirayr / Jirair
My own name, in the Armenian alphabet, would be: Էրիկա (had to use a K instead of a C for transliteration).

I like Seda.
I know some Armenians, but none have Armenian names.

The only person I know of who's Armenian is named Anahit, called Ana. I don't actually know her; she's an American journalist.
I'm missing cultural context, but these are the listed ones that stood out to me in a mostly positive way...
Arevik, Arev
Alenoush
Alvard
Eranuhi
Fenya
Hrachya
Huliane
Karoun
Masreni
Nune, Nunik
Rozeta
Seda
Shamiram
Tsovinar
Ziazan
Zozan
Miray
Voski
Vardan
Abisoghom
Aetios
Arakel
Arkam
Davros
Garik
Lorik
Merushan
Mihran
Paruyr
Rafayel
Sanasar
Seyran
Shiraz
Satenik
Tatevik
Tavid
Torgom
Tsolak
Varsham
Yesnik
I've seen Vardan used before, but as far as I know, he wasn't Armenian.
