[Games] Re: Smiley Angel Adoption Centre (slightly different to others)
in reply to a message by Stacia
Anastazja Julia "Ana", 2, and Konstantyn Lucjusz "Konor", 4, are siblings from Poland. Ana is deaf and the mother couldn't look after her, she felt awful if she gave away Ana and kept Konor. She would also like to keep contact, she will even pay for the travel to Poland if necessary. Ana is a bright child and is learning as quickly as Konor did. Konor knows sign language and the two communicate as if they were talking. They are both blonde haired and very cute!

Although John and I had been telling Gideon for months that he would soon have a new brother and a little sister, he seemed very surprised when they actually came to live with us! I've fallen back on writing articles for magazines, but once all the kids are in school I'll start interpreting again.
Ana and Konor use the Polish Sign Language they learned from a social worker, but Konor is picking up English at a dizzying speed and Gideon is having a blast helping me to teach them both American signs. Konor and Gideon will both be starting at a pre-school in the fall, and I will have lots of time alone with Ana to work on her new language.
Gideon has also followed Konor's lead and is very protective of Ana. John is working on his sign so that he can tell Ana bedtime stories. It has always been such a ritual with Gideon that he doesn't want to leave Ana out. John and I are very much in love with our new family.
The kids' mother, Jolanta, calls once a week to speak to Konor, and we're getting a webcam so she can talk to Ana as well. We're planning a trip to Poland next summer for the whole family.
