While I have known many people named Sarah, it still maintains a certain dignity and classical beauty. I can see why people have used it for so many generations; it is easy to pronounce and spell, can stand alone without a nickname, has had many famous bearers, and with its long history, provides a sense of heritage.
While I’m not usually into strong royal affiliations, it is cool how the Biblical character went from being Sarai, “my princess,” to Sarah, “princess.” It was a way of saying that this woman wasn’t going to just be someone’s little princess, she would start a nation.
