Giosetta is Italian, and met Wesley while she was traveling to England with her sisters. Adrian was working at an art gallery Giosetta visited, and they had an instant connection. After a whirlwind romance, they settled in London and have lived happily ever after - despite Giosetta never quite settling for the English cuisine!

Francine met Hiroki at a Rolling Stones concert in 1982. They were pen pals for two years before they decided to marry and settle down in Tokyo. A few years after their youngest daughter was born, Francine and Hiroki separated as friends, and Francine moved back to London with her two young daughters.
Grace met her American husband while studying at Edinburgh University in Scotland. Reid has distant Scottish roots, and came to Scotland to explore his heritage. Grace and Reid now live outside Fife with their three children.
Hannah spent some of her teenage years living in Tokyo with her father, and then her early twenties travelling around South-East Asia. In Indonesia she met her girlfriend, Zahra, and through insemination they conceived triplets! They now live in Bangkok, Thailand.
Many years after the divorce, Francine began to flirt with the next door neighbour, Gordon, and they ended up marrying. Together they have two children, and they still live in the same London suburb where they met.

Rupert and Märta were high school sweethearts when they found out Märta was expecting. Märta gave birth to their son when they were just 18 years old. Both Rupert’s and Märta’s parents helped out with raising the boy - Märta hails from Sweden and Björn grew up trilingual (Swedish, Italian, and English).
Björn is now 34 years old and has a family of his own. He met his wife at the theatre where he works - he’s a stagehand and she’s an actress. She moved to London from Uganda as a teenager to reunite with her father and try her luck acting.
Rupert later married a friend of a friend; Iris is Greek, and has a son from a previous relationship. Nikos and his girlfriend just had a baby girl.
Rupert and Iris have two children together as well, and are happily settled in Leatherhead, just outside of London.

Astrid met her husband, Frederick, at a film festival, and after a year of dating they married. They’re both film fanatics, which is reflected in their name choices for their three children.
When their son, Laurie, was just 8 years old he was diagnosed with leukaemia. He spent many years in the hospital, but luckily survived. Through a cancer survivor group for children, he met the girl who would later become his wife. Since they’ve both been through intense cancer treatments, they knew they couldn’t have biological children, and decided to adopt.
Ingrid met her boyfriend two years ago - he’s born and raised in London to Iranian parents. He has a son from a previous relationship, who absolutely adores Ingrid.

Diane met her husband at university: he was an exchange student from Espoo, Finland. They fell in love and married, and relocated to Helsinki, Finland, where they raised their five children.
Kirsi was travelling and working in New Zealand when she met her husband-to-be. His Maori family owns the winery where Kirsi was working for a season to support her travelling. She ended up staying, and the family is now happily settled in Marlborough, New Zealand, with two young children.
Ismo also went traveling after finishing school. He ended up in Jerusalem, where he met his boyfriend.
