Marta is Italian, and met Wesley while she was travelling to England with her sisters. Wesley was working at an art gallery Marta visited, and they had an instant connection. After a whirlwind romance, they settled in London and have lived happily ever after - despite Marta never quite settling for the English cuisine!

Audrey met ex-Junpei at a Rolling Stones concert in 1982. They were pen pals for two years before they decided to marry and settle down in Tokyo. A few years after their youngest daughter was born, Audrey and ex-Junpei separated as friends, and Audrey moved back to London with her two young daughters.
Kiyoko met her American husband while studying at Edinburgh University in Scotland. Everett has distant Scottish roots, and came to Scotland to explore his heritage. Kiyoko and Everett now live outside Fife with their three children.
Lidia spent some of her teenage years living in Tokyo with her father, and then her early twenties travelling around South-East Asia. In Indonesia she met her girlfriend, and through insemination they conceived triplets! They now live in Bangkok, Thailand.
Many years after the divorce, Audrey began to flirt with the next door neighbour, and they ended up marrying. Together they have two children, and they still live in the same London suburb where they met.

Simeon and ex-Hillevi were high school sweethearts when they found out ex-Hillevi was expecting. Ex-Hillevi gave birth to their son when they were just 18 years old. Both Simeon’s and ex-Hillevi’s parents helped out with raising the boy - ex-Hillevi hails from Sweden and Simeon grew up trilingual (Swedish, Italian, and English).
Cristiano is now 34 years old and has a family of his own. He met his wife at theatre where he works - he’s a stagehand and she’s an actress. She moved to London from Uganda as a teenager to reunite with her father and try her luck acting.
Simeon later married a friend of a friend: Evanthia is Greek, and has a son from a previous relationship. Elias and his girlfriend just had a baby girl.
Simeon and Evanthia have two children together as well, and are happily settled in Leatherhead, just outside of London.

Sonya met her husband at a film festival, and after a year of dating they married. They’re both film fanatics, which is reflected in their name choices for their three children.
When their youngest son, Clark, was just 8 years old he was diagnosed with leukemia. He spent many years in the hospital, but luckily survived. Through a cancer survivor group for children, he met the girl who would later become his wife. Since they’ve both been through intense cancer treatments, they knew they couldn’t have biological children, and decided to adopt.
Greer met her boyfriend two years ago - he’s born and raised in London to Iranian parents. He has a son from a previous relationship, who absolutely adores Greer.

Kirsi was travelling and working in New Zealand when she met her husband-to-be. His Maori family owns the winery where Kirsi was working for a season to support her travelling. She ended up staying, and the family is now happily settled in Marlborough, New Zealand, with two young children.
Heath also went travelling after finishing school. He ended up in Jerusalem, where he met his boyfriend.
