[Opinions] Pnina / Pearl
Hi !!!
WDYTO the name Pnina (פנינה)?
It is the modern form of Peninnah currently meaning 'pearl'.
One famous bearer is Israeli wedding dress design Pnina Tornai.

I knew a Jewish woman whose English mn was Penelope, and she used Pnina as the mn for liturgical purposes, when she was operating in a Hebrew-speaking context. (Her fn was Ann, so that easily became Channah.) She knew that the words were not even slightly related, but apparently just using something with a similar sound or initial worked fine.
I like it: it seems both elegant and energetic! ETA I don't enjoy Pearl at all.
