Rory and Delilah are still living in their San Francisco apartment with Ella, who is in her last year of high school. Lyra is about to graduate from film school, and has started seriously dating one of her classmates. Her girlfriend's first name is a hippie-ish name, and her middle name is that of a flower.Her last name is Polish.

The Roscoe clan has expanded a little more with the addition of Noah and Abigail's daughter. They decided to break with the nature theme used for her cousins Hazel, Ash and Briar, so her first name is a virtue name, and her middle name is that of a Biblical heroine. Briar, meanwhile, is engaged to to be married. Her fiance's first name has an animal-related meaning, and his middle name is Scottish. His last name is one of the top 100 English surnames.

Robin and Farida have two more grandchildren to add to the list. Uriah married Adele, and they have a young son together. Leila married as well, and had her daughter around the same time. The cousins are already best friends. Uriah and Adele wanted their son to have a name nobody else had, so his first name is a word not usually used as a name. His middle name is somewhat more traditional- it's also from the New Testament. Leila's husband shares his first name with a Russian novelist. His middle name is shared with a Roman emperor, and his last name is three letters. Their daughters first name has a meaning related to "gold". Her father really wanted to name his first child after his father, so her middle name is a feminine version of a masculine name.
