[Opinions] Antoinette
I'm reading a book with a character named Antoinette, set in 1870's Paris. WDYT?

I think Antoinette is very attractive, much more so than Antonia. However, I don't like it enough to want to use it even for a middle name. I much prefer the nn Toni, and would just use that on its own and skip the messy middle step.
I generally like -ette names, but Antoinette is a bit too much for me. I like the look of it though, but not so much the way it sounds.
I’ve always liked Antoinette. I think it sounds beautiful and elegant, but is something a little different. Only problem I have with it, is that I sometimes drop the T sound/don’t enunciate it very well, but that’s more of a me thing. I’d love to meet a little Antoinette, I can really imagine it on a little girl.
I've got a very good friend named Antoinette, situated firmly in 20th-21st century South Africa! Her mother's family had a tradition of giving children A- names; Antoinette's brother is Alan and her daughters are Alexandra and Abigail.
In spite of my very positive associations with its owner, I find Antoinette rather frilly and would much prefer Antonia.

I like Antoinette, but much prefer Antonia.
It's okay, but I can only think of Marie Antoinette, who doesn't really have a great reputation.
The weird thing is, the character's sister is named Marie.
