Celinda resents the fact that their late cousin left Lyssa in his care and not hers. Before leaving, the siblings don’t reconcile.
YEAR NINETEEN: After not speaking each other for a year, Malcolm and Celinda tried to reconcile, only to get into an argument over unrelated causes.
YEAR TWENTY: A couple of years after Grandpa Shouhei’s death, Reg’s grandmother Umeko passed away. This time, she and family goes to Hokkaido to attend the funeral.
YEAR TWENTY-ONE: After being afford a teaching position at Boston University, the entire family moves to Massachusetts.
