What are your thoughts on Mona?I think it's kind of cute, there's something magical to it, I could easily imagine a Harry Potter character named this. It also fits in with trends, similar to Nova, Mila, Lena, Nora and other names that are getting common.

It makes me think of ammonia, so I'd avoid it. I do like Ramona, Monica, and Mohana, though.

In my version of English it sounds like Moaner, so I wouldn't go near it. I like Shona, though.

I hate it, all I hear is the word "moan." I like a lot of similar names though, including all the ones you mentioned.

I went to school with a girl called Mona. Unfortunately in my accent (South of England) it sounds identical to moaner. Her parents, coming from a different region, didn't realise that.

I'm American and I still think of "moaner". It's a good name otherwise though.

I'd never really considered it before, but I like it. It's simple and sweet, but not too cutesy.
