[Opinions] Ruxandra
What do you think of Ruxandra?
Do you have any idea what it means? I know that this site says it derives from Roxana but I googled it and an equal amount of sources say it derives from Alexandra. I'm now wondering if it might have a completely different source. It's quite old. The earliest use I could find for it is 1500 (Dracula's granddaughter) but my guess is that it was used before.
Which would you choose: Ruxandra or Roxana?
and: Ruxandra, Roxana or Alexandra?
Thanks :)

Sounds like somebody got creative and made a portmanteau name. It’s not awful, but the “rux” sound isn’t the most pleasant. Makes me think of animals rutting.
I want to like it, but I always see a creepy Teddy Ruxpin face when I see and hear the name. Which, funny enough doesn't happen with Roxana but for me Roxana has its own problems.
I prefer Alexandra out of the three, despite it being boring and inevitably shortened to Alex. So, with that, I would go with Ruxandra if you love it.
