Issak is Israeli and of Hebrew and Armenian descent. He and Mira, who is Franco-Albanian, met while she was on holiday with friends. They just married and now live near Issak’s hometown, and decided they would learn rock-climbing together – how romantic!
Year 1
Ages: 26, 24
Mira enjoyed rock-climbing so much that she is now a climbing and archery instructor.
Year 2
Ages: 27, 25
Issak decided to volunteer fixing rebuilding houses in Costa Rica after an earthquake.
Year 3
Ages: 28, 26
The couple took a vacation rock-climbing in Denmark.
Year 4
Ages: 29, 27
This year they decided to take a vacation to the lovely Netherlands, which they’d stopped off at briefly when going to Denmark and decided to go back to see in full.

Mira and Isaak decided it was time to get a pet, so they got a cute goat whom they named Sunpuff.

The couple traveled to a local Israel attraction, the Rosh HaNikra Grottoes, beautiful caves with glowing blue water accessed by a steep cable car.

Issak and Mira had a baby boy this year! They named him Xhafer Tal, Xhafer was the name of Mirabelle’s grandfather, and Tal is just a Hebrew name they liked meaning “dew”. He has straight, auburn hair like mom and surprised them both a little by ending up with brown eyes.

Surprise! The Avakian’s had another child already which they weren’t expecting at all. Their daughter, little Xandra Wanda, has straight blond hair and one hazel and one blue eye. Her first name is one that they heard while visiting the Netherlands, and her middle name is after Mira’s favorite aunt.

Well, it happened again. Despite not intending to get pregnant, they did. They now have another boy, Eytan Dardan, after Issak’s father and an Albanian name they liked meaning “pear”.

The Avakians added three more members this year. Sadly, it was because Yissakhar’s older brother and his wife passed away in a car accident, and so Issak and Mira adopted their three kids: 12-year-old twins Ronit and Noam and 9-year-old Atalia. The kids are having a very tough time, though it is good for them to be surrounded by loving family and the bustle of three younger siblings that keeps them busy.

The Avakian crew got another pet, this time a donkey they named Cedarmint, which Sunpuff the goat is thrilled to have keep her company.

Issak and Mira are grandparents….sort of! Sunpuff got out of their yard enclosure one afternoon but returned later that evening. A little while later they found out what she’d gotten up to on her jaunt away, and soon they had two new little goats! The kids got together and named them Applestar and Jellyshy.
