The Mooney Family
Location: Cork, Ireland
DH: [22] Seamus Anthony Mooney
DW: [22] Louisa Mary Imelda Mooney (née McGuinness)
DD: [nb] Niamh Ruby Lois
Seamus and Louisa have known each other since childhood and have been dating since they were 17. They married this spring and are now expecting their first child, a daughter. They would like her to have three names like Louisa, the order they go in is your choice. Seamus would like at least one of the names to be a traditional Irish name, Louisa likes cute gemstone and flower names so would like her to have at least one name like that. For the third name, they would like to honour one of their grandmother's (the grandmother's names are up to you but think along the lines of someone born in late 1930s early 40s. What would they be called?)
Criteria:
-3 names, order your choice
-Traditional Irish
-Gemstone or Floral
-Honouring a Grandmother
The Grosvenor-Russell Family
Location: London, UK
DFiancé: [26] Humphrey Richard Louis Grosvenor
DFiancée: [23] Camilla "Millie" Antonia Ogilvy Russell
DS: [nb] Ludovic “Ludo” Otto Archibald Grosvenor-Russell
Former(?) playboy and stockbroker Humphrey met heiress and jodhpur designer Camilla, more commonly known as Millie, at a charity ball held by a mutual friend. The very next day they were on a plane, off to enjoy a week spent on Humphrey's families' yacht moored in Cannes. After five months of on and off dating, they are expecting a son. In order to appease both families, Humphrey proposed, however, neither Humphrey or Millie are in any rush to meet down the aisle just yet.
Their son's name comes from this name bank:
Hugh, Cosmo, Montgomery, Inigo, Rupert, Henry, Barnaby, Hugo, Hector, Ivo, Jago, Benedict, Horatio, Tarquin, Jonathan, Leopold, Fergus, Caspian, Jasper, Guy, Felix, Rufus, Digby, Darcy, Mungo, Sholto, Torquil, Marmaduke, Buddy, Tristram, Tobias, Ralph, Rollo, Giles, Fabian, Aubrey, Archibald, August, Hero, Alberic, Magnus, Montague, Robert, Lysander, Beauregard, Roland, Ludovic, Otto, St.John, Percival, Marcus, Orlando, Barclay, Ludlow, Rafe, Arthur, Cedric, Stanley, Huxley, Atticus, Frederick, Walter, Oscar, Maximillian, Harris, George, Wolfgang, Caradoc, Atlas, George, Basil, Bertie, Alfred, Laurence, Bear, Wilbur
The number of names they use is up to you. His surname will be Grosvenor-Russell.
The Savage Family
Location: Montreal, Canada
DW: [32] Juliette Emily Savage
DW: [30] Vanessa Brie Savage (née Gagne)
DS/DD: [nb] Thierry Reuben (Reuben Salad)& Aurore Anise
Juliette and Vanessa met 7 years ago at a culinary school, they've been a couple for 6 years and married for 2. They run and own their own fine dining restaurant, Juliette is the head chef and Vanessa is the sommelier. Other than one day earning a Michelin star, their dream for the last few years has been to start a family. That dream came true when Vanessa became pregnant and gave birth to twins!
They would like both twins to have French first names. Juliette thinks it would be cute, given how they met and their profession, if their middle names were named after a food or associated with food or drink somehow. Vanessa is ok with it... as long as it isn't tacky!
Criteria:
-French first name
-Food/drink related middle name
The Aali/King Family
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
Dbf: [29] Ibrahim Mohammed Aali
Dgf: [26] Lydia Charlotte King
DS or DD: [exp] Hyder James King-Aali or Zaray Mary King
Ibrahim and Lydia met on a tinder date about a year and a half ago! Neither expected much as tinder isn't really their thing; Lydia just tried it for a joke and Ibrahim just did it as an attempt to stop his mother's nagging... "when was he going to bring home a nice girl for us to meet, eh?" But sparks flew and now they have moved in together and are expecting their first child.
They'd like to keep the baby's sex a surprise until birth so they need a name for a boy or a girl. Ibrahim's parents originate from Pakistan so he would like them to have an Arabic first name. Lydia doesn't mind so long as the first name is no longer than 5 letters as she doesn't like long names. The middle name they would like to be a classic English name. They haven't decided on the surname yet; they're not sure if they want to use just one name, double barrel their names or to blend them into a new surname.
Criteria:
-Arabic first name
-First name no longer than 5 letters
-Classic English middle name
-Surname?
The Goshawk Family
Location: Somewhere in the Highlands, Scotland
DH: [19] Edward Boris Goshawk
DW: [19] Desiderata "Sid" Alice Goshawk (née Greengrass)
DD: Kallistrate “Kallie” Edwina Goshawk
Edward and Sid met at age 11 when they both started attending a very exclusive boarding school. Although they were placed into separate houses they were both avid students and would often be the last ones working in the library until they were turfed out by the curmudgeonly librarian. Edward would often walk Sid back to her common room, under the pretence that it was on the way to his - it was not, it was actually five floors above his own common room! They started dating in their penultimate year of school when they were 15/16 and they married one year after graduating. They now live in the small village next to the school, as Sid has returned to the school to work as the assistant flying instructor! (That's right, it was Hogwarts this whole time! I'm sorry if this breaks the 'realism' for anybody but I like the name styles used in the Harry Potter universe so I thought I'd just play with it). Edward has rented out a property and hopes to run it as an Owlery and pet shop.
They have recently welcomed their first child, a daughter. They would like her name to be long and unusual (something that would make your standard muggle raise their eyebrows) preferably with a short nickname. Her middle name is old-fashioned and kind of clunky.
Criteria:
-Long first name
-Unusual first name
-Short nickname
-Old fashioned, clunky middle name.
