I think it's a very pretty word too, but that it doesn't really make a good name. It doesn't really roll off the tongue very smoothly. It wants to slur into something that sounds more like Perry or Purry.
Also, there's a Muppet on Sesame Street, a little girl named Prairie Dawn. Which is cute, but well, Muppety.
