[Opinions] Brendan, Brennan, Brandon
Which of these do you prefer?

I way prefer Brendan, it is handsome but also has a sweet soft side. Plus I love the nn's Bren and Danny.
Brennan is a bit surnamey while Brandon feel a bit too macho - they are still good names just not my favorites. I'd be more likely to use Brennan before Brandon. I'm not a big fan of the nn Bran because it makes me think of cereal bran. Also Brando, Brad, and Don as nn's are even more masculine than Brandon.

Brennan sounds lazy and sloppy to me, and Brandon is so macho it's funny.
I love Brendan and would have used it as a fn if I'd had enough sons, but IRL my son's best friend since they were 3 years old is a Brendon, which I pronounce the same way but don't much like the look of. So I'd use it with the -o- spelling but as a mn only.

Yes! That's exactly why I dislike it. But I've stated this before so I thought I'd forgo it in this thread.

Really dislike them all. If I had to pick one it would be Brandon because it doesn’t have a negative meaning.
Apparently it used to be thought that it meant "stinking hair" but no longer:

Brendan is my favorite followed by Brandon. Brennan is my least favorite.
Years ago I had a professor assign a book about St. Brendan the navigator. It was an interesting read and very revealing about the medieval view of the world. The association has led me to picture a Brendan as an adventurous, enterprising individual.

Brendan 100%!
In this order:
1. Brendan
2. Brandon
3. Brennan
When I started posting here, Brenden was one of my favorite names (and the variant spelling is to reflect my preferred pronunciation). Brendan is the closest, so that's my favorite. Brandon's next. Brennan sounds kind of mumbly to me, the D gives it shape.
