What do you think of Ronja? I fell in love with it when I read the book by Astrid Lindgren, she is a really great character :) Any impressions you get from it? Is it popular where you live (I know it is in some countries)? I am curious how it is perceived where you live. Is it trendy, modern, classic?). If it is not common in your country, do you think it could catch on? Looking forward to your opinions :)

By the way, the J is pronounced like a Y :)

I think it sounds nice, a lot better then Tanya even though only one letter is different and they rhyme with each other. I think that it might be able to catch on, because of the similarity to Anya, Tanya, and those other names.

I liked it very much as a child (the Ronja movie came when I was about six), but today I think it's a bit...I don't know, childish?
It's very popular for dogs, but I've only met one human Ronja so far. It's seen as a totally normal name, but it's not super common.

I'm in Sweden, and all Swedes are used to the name thanks to Astrid Lindgren. It's fairly popular as well, but I wouldn't call it a classic nor modern. It's just...there? I like Ranja / Rania as well.
