Alice and Oliver were beyond thrilled to welcome little Caitriona into their family. The feisty little girl took to her new family from the very beginning, seeming to bound right into the center of the Frost family's universe. She especially loves Everard, who in turn spoils her with frequent piggy-back rides and extended play times together. Although none of the older kids are particularly physically oriented, Dev grew up playing some sports recreationally and playing rough with his peers, so he's best suited of the three to engage their new sister in the physical play she enjoys the most. He has been teaching her basic sports, which she has excelled in so far. Caitriona's intense moods and impulsive choices have been obstacles to her settling in, but her parents are very capable of handling the tantrums and they have observed the little girl responding more to reasoning in the past months. They worry that Caitriona will face feelings of abandonment because she left her teenaged mother after three years with her, but so far she has not demonstrated any behavior to suggest this as an immediate problem.
Meanwhile, Adele has been part of the Frost family for five years now, and my the time does fly. Her home stability has helped her to really thrive in school, and she now receives above average grades in all of her courses. She plans to attend university next year and would like to pursue a degree in engineering. Her parents and teachers are proud to say that her behavior has greatly improved as well; she hasn't faced disciplinary action in years now. Unfortunately, her bond with Everard, which was always less based on actual affection and more on prank logistics, slackened over the years. The two laugh together still, but both would rather they were closer. On the other hand, Adele and Morwenna have only become closer. They take walks on a nearby beach every evening and they discuss their problems, big or small, together without fail. Alice and Oliver love how close their girls are. Adele puts up with Caitriona, but wasn't particularly excited by the prospect of a sister so much younger than her at the beginning and the situation didn't prove any better than expected. She knows that Alice and Oliver don't love her any less after the new addition, but she can't help but feel replaced since the little girl entered the family only a year before she herself would leave.
