[Opinions] Leia, Moriah, Mattea
Thoughts?
In regards to Moriah, I really love the old pronunciation of Maria but I know that isn’t really feasible any more so I’m pondering Moriah.
Thanks!

--I like Leia a lot. It wouldn't be my first choice but I'd definitely use it. Lea and Leya are also good, but I think Leia is the best because it looks the most mature and the most usable (and also because of the Star Wars character).
--Moriah, idk. I prefer Moria. Although I don't exactly know what pronunciation you're going for? Is it supposed to rhyme with Mariah? Because Moriah just looks like MORE-ee-uh (basically I'd read it as Moria with an unnnecessary h).
--I like Mattea too. It sounds friendly, smart, confident, and approachable.
EDIT: okay I looked it up and yeah, the pronunciation of Moriah isn't very intuitive IMO. Do you really want the "o" sound, or could you use Mariah? Or does Mariah sound too dated?

Moriah, Mariah, and the old pronunciation of Maria sound identical in my accent :)
Leia: I like the look & the sound, but not so keen on the 'princess' association for a little girl, even if she was a cool princess. Léa would be less obvious; I think Leia looks better though.
Moriah: gives off an American-religious vibe to me, and would probably be written as Mariah a lot. But it could grow on me, I like the sound
Mattea - sweet and refreshing, I've never met or heard of one here.

Leia is pretty. The spelling suffers from association with Star Wars. But I like it anyway.
Moriah - I get a "serious" or reserved vibe, and a little old-fashioned or conservative. I picture a girl or woman who is very self-disciplined and quiet. It doesn't appeal to me as a favorite, but now that I try to imagine it on a girl I think I would like it as much as Mariah. It's nice.
I think Maria pronounced like Mariah is doable. I know a Leah pronounced Leia. People are trainable!
Mattea already bores me a little because of all the trendy forms of Matthew and the trendiness I perceive of Italian names. But it is very pretty and pleasant, I do like it.

I think Leia is pretty, probably because it reminds me of leis, and I do like Star Wars.
Moriah in my mind is something like classic/regal + sacred/religious + pop star + sweet old man = endearing old soul. The history is interesting. I like it.
Mattea is okay. It doesn't stand out to me at all, even though I rarely see it.

I really like the way you see Moriah! Thanks!
