[Opinions] Christabel

I think it's a bit of a stretch, as Christabel on its own is rare enough, and I don't think I've ever heard any girl with a Chris- name going by Kit/Kitty. Usually, Kit on a girl is short for Catherine.

Its pretty. I don't like the way K looks for the nickname when it is spelled Christabel, but Cit or Citty doesn't look nice.
I like Christabel a lot, although the Christ part makes it a GP for me.
I like Kit as a NN for Katherine, but I feel like it'd be sort of a letdown used with Christabel...it's okay, though; I don't think it's too much of a stretch.
Kitty sounds too much like a pet's name for my liking.

I love Kitty (and Kit for a boy), but I remember disliking Christabel Pankhurst when we studied the suffrage movement in history, which put me off. I’m not the biggest fan of -bel names either.
I love Christabel for its patina of Victorian elegance, but the connection to "Christ" is too prominent for me.
Kit & Kitty are adorable nicknames.

I totally agree with you

I like Christabel and I like Kitty, but I have great difficulty in connecting one with the other.
I'd use Kitty as a nn for Katharine. I wouldn't use Christabel at all, as it might (mis)lead people to think that my family and I are religious. For the same reason, I wouldn't use Christiana, even though it was the name of two of my great-great grandmothers.

My thinking on nn's was that Kit is often short for Christopher so why not Kit or Kitty for Christabel which starts with Chris also
It seems awfully precious and fancy. Not my style.
