Iggy and Poppy are originally from the UK. They met in college and got married soon after graduation. A year later, they moved to Paraguay when Amelia got hired as a Communications Manager for Operation South America: http://www.operationsouthamerica.org/ Iggy also supported the cause by writing articles and helping showcase what the charity does.
Year 1: Soon after moving to Paraguay, Amelia found out she was pregnant! The couple welcomed a healthy baby boy nine months later.
Year 2: Ignatius gets a new job working for "Última Hora"
Year 3: Amelia takes up scrapbooking as a hobby. She hopes to keep as many memories of her family and their time in Paraguay as she can.
Year 4: After a doctor's appointment for a check-up, Ignatius finds out he has prediabetes. The whole family starts eating healthier and doing more exercise as a result.
Year 5: The family welcomes another baby boy!
Year 6: With a new baby in the family, Amelia decides to cut down her office hours and spend more time at home. Luckily, at her workplace, they are supportive of her decision.
Year 7: After years of asking, Oliver finally gets a pet for his birthday! It's a beautiful 2-year-old calico cat that the family adopts from a local shelter. Her name is Callie.
Year 8: In the spring, Callie goes missing for 3 days. Three months later, she gives birth to four precious kittens. The family gives three of them up for adoption to caring families around the block and keeps one of the kittens. The boys name her Coco.
Year 9: The kids are ecstatic when they get to spend the Holidays with their grandparents! Both Amelia and Iggy's parents come to Paraguay for a much needed and treasured family reunion!
Year 10: Coco eats something from the garbage and needs to be taken to the doctor! Luckily, after some days of resting and with the boys taking care of her, she is up and running again in no time.
Year 11: When the Charity where Amelia works can no longer take care of their pet dog, Amelia takes her home. The kids are very happy to have another addition to the family and love spending time with Osa.
Year 12: Iggy gets promoted to Senior Journalist.
Year 13: Due to financial trouble, Iggy gets a pay cut at work.
Year 14: Iggy starts blogging about his everyday life as a father and husband. It starts as something for his family, who are back in the UK, to be more in touch with them, but it starts attracting interest as time passes.
Year 15: Amelia and Iggy thought their family was complete, but where ecstatic to find out Amelia was pregnant again! The family welcomed yet another baby boy, and his older brothers are beyond themselves with happiness. They helped name the baby!
Amelia and Iggy are grateful for the amazing and loving family they have built in Paraguay, and hope to continue being happy for many years to come!
