Marcel and Marie have been married for twenty-three years. They have four children: Liam, Matt, Eliza, and Andy. Marcel is a high school history/social studies teacher, while Marie works part time as a pediatric nurse for a local hospital. Liam, 20, lives at home and is going to community college. He is working on getting his certificate as an automotive technician and is hoping to graduate next year. Matt, fifteen, has wanted to be a firefighter since he was eight. He already volunteers for the local fire department as a junior firefighter, and he can't wait until he's old enough to fight real fires. Eliza, thirteen, is the lady of the house--she likes anything frilly, fancy, and feminine. Andy, eleven, loves sports--especially soccer and cross country running. He is also fascinated by horses and keeps begging his parents for riding lessons.
