Sarah had met Duncan Romanov when he came to put new light fixtures in her house. Unfortunately, Duncan was already married, so Sarah had no chance of dating him…until a year later, when they were both at the same country concert—same section, same row, and consecutive seats. Sarah was shocked to hear Duncan was newly single and snatched him up right away. When she met Duncan’s three kids, Liz, Drew, and Maddie, for the first time, the kids were timid and apprehensive of her, because they were afraid Sarah wouldn’t be as nice as their birth mother, Cate Bonham. But once Sarah proved them wrong, they took a liking to her.
