[Opinions] Re: Top 10 for January
in reply to a message by Jessamine
Alexander David - It does sound nice, but both of the names are so popular that I am sure there are plenty of Alexander Davids in the world already. Not very unique - but if that's not a concern for you, then go for it!
Nathaniel Isaiah - Very nice! Quite biblical, but wonderful flow.
Lincoln Joseph - I'm not keen on either name, but together they're very... abrupt.
Archer William - I'm sorry, I can't get on the Archer bandwagon. Don't like the nickname Archie, either. What about Arthur William?
Kieran Louis - Nice, I quite like Kieran. Louis isn't my style, but it goes well.
Madison Gage - Sounds like an 1809s cowboy. And you'd have to have thick skin to be a male Madison this day and age!
Tristan Blake - Well, I like Tristan better than Tristram, but that's not saying much. This combo has the same effect on me as Lincoln Joseph above.
Caleb Elliott - Handsome!
John Aaron - Is this from ASOIAF / "Game of Thrones" (Jon Arryn, whose murder launches the whole series)? Either way, definitely very N-heavy.
Luke Bailey - Like Archer above, I can't get on the Bailey bandwagon, for either gender. It alternately reminds me of a dog and the alcoholic beverage.
Lauren Elizabeth - Like Alexander David above, there are probably lots of Lauren Elizabeths in the world today. But if you don't mind that, it sounds lovely.
Sophie Jane - Short and sweet. Would she go by both?
Grace Audrey - I've posted on here before that I think Grace sounds like a bucket of cold water to the face, but the combo Grace Audrey is hardly objectionable.
Elena Maeve - Gorgeous!
Shayla - This name makes me think of the tackiest aspects of the 70s, sorry. Even Sheila would be better, though that's terribly dated. What about Shayna / Shaina?
Lilia Adele - I think I've commenters on this combo before, but I like both names... individually. But the end of Lilia runs into the beginning of Adele, and it becomes a mish-mosh.
Colette Miriam - Very interesting! Don't think I've seen this before. Elegant and unique.
Isla Penelope - I've loved Penelope ever since I was a kid. But Isla needs to go away. Very far away.
Faith Madeleine - I think I'd prefer the flow of Fae Madeleine, but this is nice, too.
Layla Katharine - Very pretty, lovely flow. And I love this spelling of Katharine. But I think Laila, or Leila, would look nicer with Katharine. (Conversely, I think Layla Katharyn could be quite interesting.)
