Well, spring is also a verb (to run, or leap), as well as a noun not referring to the season (a coiled spring). So the name Spring seems a bit... well, odd, to be honest. I'd be more amenable to Verna, which comes from the Latin name for the season, vernus. (Autumn follows this same guideline, because nobody is named Fall.)
