There is a little town called Verona near my cottage, so I do have a connection with A Verona, just not THE Verona. I still don't think I'd use it as a name, but it is pretty. I'd consider it for a middle name maybe, because it does bring up good memories for me.

I'm with the others in preferring Verena (which is lovely) as a name. Verona, to me, looks like Veronica is missing letters (and indeed, when I go to type Verona, I have to concentrate in order not to accidentally type Veronica).

Verona's okay. Verona is actually a very nice city, so that's a good thing. It's not like, say, Camden.

I love Verena.

I like Verena—beautiful, underused, and slightly exotic. Not a big fan of Verona as a name. It’s a city and doesn’t really have a history of being used as a human name, so that leaves me skeptical.
