Love it.
Adore.
Hated it for years because I had a principal in school named Sylvia who was former military and commanded the school like she was still in the service and we were new recruits.
But now years removed from that, I've come to love almost all Sylv- / Silv- names.
I think I like Silvia a little more than Sylvia, but I love both and I adore Sylvie even more, but I would only use it as a nickname.
Sylvia Laila
Sylvia Adeline
Sylvia Juliet
Sylvia Noelle
Sylvia Katherine
Sylvia Meadow
Sylvia Constance
Sylvia Amaya
Sylvia Alexandra
Sylvia Camille
Sylvia Merryn
Sylvia Evangeline
Sylvia Olive
Sylvia River
Sylvia Isabelle
Sylvia Brienne
Sylvia Giselle
Sylvia Kasia
Sylvia Scarlett
Sylvia Cosette
Sylvia Eden
Sylvia Laurel
Sylvia Kathleen
Sylvia Eugenie
Sylvia Astrid

I love it!
Lovely!
I like it! It's pretty and cute and has a lot of character and woodsiness while also being sophisticated.
I generally prefer Sylva, Sylvan (m), Sylvana, etc. but I started liking Sylvie after reading "The Great Good Thing".
I also like that it sounds like silver even though it has nothing to do with silver.

I absolutely love Sylvia and Sylvie (as a full name or nn). She feels sophisticated and beautiful, as well as fun, playful, energetic, and with a hint of fire and feistiness. I really like the vintage feel and meaning too. I wanted to use it as a middle (for Sylvia Pankhurst) but I haven’t found anywhere that it quite fits.
