I came across with this name a couple days ago in a newpaper article; it was a name of a Finnish, four-year-old girl. Now I have a crush on Ester and I feel extra fond of it, because it was also my great-grandmother's MN (her full name being Aili Ester).
So, what are thoughts about Ester? Which MN(s) would you pair it with? And what do you think about sisters named Sylvia and Ester (Sylvia is my favorite girl's name)?

I don't like Ester. It sounds very old-ladyish, although I know it's slowly coming back in style (well, Esther, at least). I guess I'd pair it with something more modern, like:
