I definitely would not use Masha. Moshing and mash are not good associations, and if you're not Russian-speaking, Maria is too beautiful a name to cut down to Masha.
I'd use Natasha. On its own; since I am not Russian in any way, it would be pretentious to use Natalia and call her Natasha, and not even nicknamey.
I like Sasha too, (again, as the full name; I don't like Alexandra that much anyway) but I think of it as mainly a cat's name. We had a cat called Sasha once, who was mean as a snake.
