I have heard of little girls named something which sounds a little like "Shynez". It occurred to me that it could be a creative take on the word shyness, but because they weren't anglophone, I think this is unlikely. One girl with the name was from a francophone North African background, so I'm wondering if the name could be a variant of Shahnaz?
