Ailsa and Clarence surprised a lot of their school friends when they defied expectations and got married, despite being a Slytherin and a Gryffindor. 4 years ago they had their first child, Ty. He's not displayed any signs of magic yet, but he's still young, and they're sure he's got plenty of time.
Year 1 (2018) - Attend an important event
The Woods attend the wedding of Ailsa's younger sister, Rose. Ty is delighted to see his auntie so happy and the event is a great success.
Year 2 (2019) - Baby boy

Ailsa and Clarence welcome a second son, Lionel. He's a quiet, laid-back child compared to the playful, energetic Tybalt, but he's a very welcome addition to the family!
Year 3 (2020) - Volunteer somewhere
Ailsa takes a year out of her work to help disadvantaged witches and wizards in Namibia. Meanwhile, Lionel has already shown his magic - much to Clarence's despair, as it makes household breakages far more common!
Year 4 (2021) - New job
After her time in Namibia, Ailsa quits her job as an obliviator and becomes a columnist for the Daily Prophet. Meanwhile, 8-year-old Ty has finally shown his magic, and his parents are delighted!
Year 5 (2022) - Long term goal accomplished
Ailsa finally achieves her dream - she writes a book about her experiences in Namibia, and it becomes a best seller in the magical community.
Year 6 (2023) - Pet cat
The year before Ty heads off to Hogwarts, the Wood family get a black kitten, and Lionel names her Spooky.
Year 7 (2024) - Baby girl (and Ty goes to Hogwarts!)

Just a few weeks after the birth of Aster, Ty heads off to Hogwarts. He takes a snowy owl called Hattie with him, and he's sorted into Gryffindor, like his father. He really enjoys Charms, and although he doesn't tell his parents, he joins the Gobstones Club!
Year 8 (2025) - Natural disaster
About a year after Aster's born, the Woods' home is flooded out. It's pretty devastating, and they stay with Rose and her husband for a few months, until Ty goes back to Hogwarts. He tries out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and despite a lot of tough competition, he makes the reserve team, as a beater.
Year 9 (2026) - Attend important event
Rose and her husband Fintan have had their first child - a boy named Quintus. The Woods attend his christening, and Ty, Lionel and Aster are all delighted to be big cousins. In Ty's third year, he takes Muggle Studies and Arithmancy alongside his other subjects, and he tries out for the team again - and makes it! He's now one of the Gryffindor beaters, and he couldn't be happier!
Year 10 (2027) - Adoption

Ailsa and Clarence adopt Persephone, the only daughter of long-time friends who recently passed away in an accident. She's starting Hogwarts next year, and she's glad to have someone to look up to in Ty.
Year 11 (2028) - Travel to Spain
In the summer before Persephone starts Hogwarts, the Woods travel to Spain. They're a little disappointed that Ty isn't made a prefect, but their disappointment is soon forgotten as preparations begin for Persephone's first year. She takes a tawny owl called Mildred, and is sorted into Hufflepuff. She quickly finds Herbology to be her favourite subject, and she develops a keen interest in Ghoul Studies too. Ty is proud but a little bit embarrassed that his little sister is at school with him, but they aren't in the same house and don't see each other too much, so it's alright.
Year 12 (2029) - Business trip
In November, Ailsa travels back to Namibia for two weeks for an article, leaving Clarence to handle Lionel (who can't wait to go to Hogwarts next year!) and Aster (who's very jealous of her brothers and sister!) Aster's performed her first bits of magic, and not only that but it turns out she's inherited her mum's talent and is a Seer. Ty has dropped two subjects - Defence Against the Dark Arts and Astronomy - for his NEWTS, and decides not to go on an exchange. He's pretty disappointed to have missed out on captain again, and Persephone decides not to try out for the Hufflepuff team.

Realising it's now or never, Ailsa and Clarence decide to have one more child, and so they welcome baby Emilia. She's the only one of the 5 Wood kids to have Ailsa's red hair, and Aster's glad to have someone to play with now all her older siblings are at Hogwarts. Ty's entered his seventh and his final year at Hogwarts, and because he wasn't a prefect isn't made head boy - however, he does finally become Quidditch captain! Persephone takes up Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes, and Lionel finally joins his older brother and sister. He's the first of the Woods not to take an owl - he opts for a ginger cat called Spice. He's sorted into Ravenclaw, different to both Tybalt and Persephone, and finds a passion for Defence Against the Dark Arts and Ancient Studies.

The Woods move to Godric's Hollow, as their house in Montrose was getting a little cramped. After graduating Hogwarts, Tybalt takes a year out to travel, and he visits the village in Namibia where Ailsa spent time when he was young. Persephone has a fairly uneventful fourth year, and Lionel decides not to try out for the Quidditch team.
Year 15 (2032) - Volunteer
This time it's Clarence who travels to Namibia. Ty finds work as a Quidditch commentator, and Persephone becomes a prefect! Lionel chooses Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies and Ancient Runes, and 8-year-old Aster is so impatient to get her turn!
Year 16 (2033) - Pet cat
Spooky sadly passes away, and the Woods get a new kitten, a fluffy white one who they call Snowdrop. Persephone spends a year away at Durmstrang, studying all her subjects for NEWTS, and everyone misses her a lot.
