[Opinions] Lily, Sofia or Anastasia? (more)
If you had to choose one of them, which one and why? We pronounce Anastasia the Russian way here. Lily, Sofia or Anastasia?

My favourite is Lily. Love it as a stand alone name, or as a nn. It's
Beautiful, sweet, and feminine which is what I look for in a girls name. Sofia used to be a favourite of mine, but I actually dislike it now. Even though Lily is also popular, I feel Sofia sounds stuffy, and harsh to me now. Not as fresh and pretty as it used to be.I've never cared for Anastasia, but I also don't dislike it. It's pretty, and less common then the other two. Hope that helps. :)

AnastasiaAnastasia is the prettiest and most elegant sounding. I prefer the English pronunciation, but it would still be my first choice. Sofia is so popular at the moment that little Sofias are practically a dime a dozen. Lily is okay, but it seems little girlish and delicate.

Lily, for sure! Anastasia is pretty, but I don't much like the Russian pronunciation. I much prefer a Sophia to Sofia; the latter spelling seems too harsh for some reason. But I love Lily - it's actually on my PNL.

Sofia, probably, though Lily is a perfectly ok name. I actually know a woman named Anastasia, pronounced the North American way, I suppose you'd say. No nick-name either, she goes the whole 5 syllables! She's a nice person, so I like the name.

I know someone named Anastasia with no nickname too! Hers is four syllables though: a-nə-STAY-zhə. It always struck me that she didn't use a nn, but it's a beautiful name and doesn't really need one.

Now that you say it,i believe the young woman I know also pronounces her name as you write it, 4 syllables, rather than 5, as I wrote.
I've been saying it aloud to check! And I agree, it's a beautiful name.

LilyIt's simple, beautiful, I've loved it for years. I also really like Anastasia, but it's a bit too frilly for me to consider and everyone here would prn it a-nə-STAY-zhə. Sofia is just boring, although I do like Sophie.

Hi Perrine !!!As I said you in some previous post my favourite is Anastasia. This is because it is also Italian so I can perfectly use it here. The second choice is Lily although I prefer it as MN.Sofia is boring unfortunately because of its popularity.
