Tori, though she has a degree in early childhood education, is not working, though she spends a lot of time helping the refugees there.

They had just completed their move to Turkey and Tori figured that the stress was affecting her--by the time she went to be checked out by a doctor, she was almost five months pregnant. After much consideration, Tori decided to stay in Turkey with John and have the baby there. Their son, Micah, was born a few months later without complications.

This year, the Brookland's lives took a hectic turn--Tori gave birth to twins! Adam and Erin were born just two weeks after Eli's second birthday, and threw the household into chaos. Betsy, who is getting more forgetful, became very anxious about everything once Tori went to the hospital. Micah, who had just started Kindergarten, became distraught by all the changes and has had some behavioral problems recently. Eli began crying more frequently and has been very clingy. John and Tori, a bit overwhelmed, enlisted the help of friends and family to help them care for the new babies (and the other children...and Betsy), so the house has been a little crazy. Skipper, the dog, seems to enjoy all the activity and has adopted the new babies as his special protectees.

As part of his schooling, John and Tori signed him up for piano lessons. Micah is absoluately loving them! Eli is spending a lot of his time playing with Skipper and teaching him new tricks. He has started begging Tori to get Skipper a puppy to play with. Adam and Erin are developing normally, running around the house after their older brothers. Baby Chloe is already well loved by her older brothers.

Just when they were settling into a routine, Tori discovered she was pregnant again. At her first appointment, they found out she was having twins again! Miles and Danny were born when Chloe was twenty months old and the elder twins almost three. Now, with five children in the last four years, John and Tori are stretched to the limit. They are also running out of space--John and Tori hoped that they would be able to stay in their four bedroom house for a long while yet; however, they are limited on space--besides the master bedroom, Micah and Eli share a room, Adam, Erin, and Chloe share a room, and the twins now share the nursery.
