[Opinions] Brenda
Thoughts? Do you prefer Brenna or neither of them?
Replies
I much prefer Brenna. The Br- sound is harsh and I think it needs a softer ending to balance it.
Hate them both. Brenda is heavy and dowdy like a fifty-year-old woman in polyester stretch pants and a floppy t-shirt that's too short and mousy hair with a ton of spray in it to try to hide that it's thin. It's just ugly.
Brenna just sounds like Brenda slurred.

Hi Danno !!!
Brenda?
Well..my first thought is "brandy".
But I checked it and I found it is used also here in Italy.
In 2015 were born 53 Brenda! (the second higher peak since 1999 because in 2001 they were 55).
It is so strange to think that Brenda could be Italian.
But it has a simple sound, ending with -a and finally pronounced as it is written so it is perfect for Italy.
And we have already the name Brando.
It is increased fastly as well in these years.
In 1999 were born only 26 Brando and in 2015...285!
In Italy this is a great result because:
285 newborns = #104 (2015 Most Popular Names for Births).
Brenna? Horrible, sorry.
It reminds me too much the word "renna" (reindeer).
I much prefer the masculine Brennan.
So as you can see Brenda & Brando are names that will be rediscovered in Italy.
WDYT?

I prefer Brenda to Brenna, but then I prefer most things to Brenna, which always looks and sounds sloppy.
I've never warmed up to Brenda. It just seems tired and dated. Brendan for a boy is so different! And I really like it enough to use - as a mn, admittedly - which is more than I'll ever say about Brenda.
