[Opinions] Re: Atlas
It's fine once I got used to it. It's pretty nice actually. At first I reacted to it like Athena, I thought it was over the top, but then discovered in real life both names work just fine.I don't think that it sounds unbelievably cheesy with Power. I think it's the kind of pun name that passes for not taking itself too seriously. Unbelievably cheesy would be to name your son Diesel or your daughter Penny. Atlas Power doesn't sound like a phrase, it just sounds like two words with a similarly comic-book-hero-but-not vibe. Like, I would think that a guy named Atlas Power wasn't named as a joke to get attention, he was named a name his parents wanted and it turned out sounding a little silly but memorable. It could even be kind of cool. It's only unusable if you feel like it's cheesy, yourself.- mirfak
