First of all, today's very short first names are fully trendy and considered chic, so they correspond to the current Zeitgeist
Examples would be Mia, Lea, Pia or Moa
For Uma, however, I do not see a trend factor, because this name is generally rather unusual and U-names have never been very popular
Then there is the problem of pronunciation, most will always ask for it (OO-ma or YOU-ma?)-since I'm quite shure here
And who likes to get into trouble permanently? Probably no one, I guess (-:
P.S.: I know what I'm talking about here: one of my middle names is Ute, correctly pronounced OO-teh, it's always a bit difficult
