I like it - one of the better flower names, imo. I have known three people called Daisy and only one of them could be described as cute, and she's also a pretty fierce & feisty little person. The others were both strong, influential, feminist women who could not in any sense be described as airheaded.
I suppose any -ee-type ending name sounds cutesy to some extent, because it's a common diminutive ending. But as flowers go, daisies are fairly tough and sturdy. They thrive almost anywhere, and you can sit on them and squash them flat and they bounce back up again. Not a delicate flower.
