There's a good reason that Norma Jean Baker changed her name, even though Norma Jean was quite in fashion at the time.
It's doughy and heavy and musty-smelling. If I was named Norma I'd be invisible too. lol
Norma Jean is like the go-to Norma combo. In Oklahoma, at least, I think I knew four or five of them, all of them my grandmother's age or thereabouts. Here in Delaware the go-to double-name combo is Margaret Ann, pronounced something close to Margurdan.
