I first encountered this name as the name of the protagonist of the cartoon Miraculous Ladybug, which I've been watching lately. It's really been growing on me.WDYT of Marinette? Do you think it can work in real life or is it too heavily associated with Miraculous Ladybug?

Sounds discouragingly like the kind of spicy liquid for soaking tough meat in! As a human name, I far prefer Marina.And that's got nothing to do with cartoon insects. The German series about Maya the Bee reminded me of how much I enjoy Maya (though I do prefer Maia).

Honestly, I have no idea what the Miraculous Ladybug is, but it reminds me of marionettes which are creepy little puppet dolls like Pinocchio.
