I love Inga, which I think is substantial enough on its own. Margie, on the other hand, would require a full(er) name for me. My favorites are Marguerite, Margery, Margalit, and Margareta.

I don't think they work especially well for siblings. Inga and Marga do, however.

I would use Inga just on its own, while I don't like Margie as is - it would need to be short for Margaret or Margery / Marjorie.

Well, I definitely think Margie absolutely needs to be a nickname for Margaret, or something else intuitive, but I hate it even as such. It makes me think "margarine" just as Marjorie does. I knew a nice Margie once, though. Real Suzie Homemaker type, got married at 22 and started having babies right away, eventually having four. Her full name was Margaret.

I think Inga is fine as is but it's never been a fave. In English speaking countries, it's always struck me as trying too hard.

I was thinking about Ingrid and Inge a few days ago. I like how they're kind of strong/emphatic sounding without being harsh...also something about Inga seems hip? And it sounds very Northern European to me (not really a negative/positive thing, but that might discourage me personally from using it).

I think Inga & Margie is an interesting sibset, but I don't like the sound of Margie (or Marjorie - I prefer Marg* names pronounced with a hard G), so I'd prefer Inga and Margot / Margaret. Or something like Dominga and Margareta / Margarida / Marguerite.
