I like both Eleanor and Elinor; I'd probably go for Eleanor, otherwise she's likely to spend her life explaining.
I've known several Eleanor people, and not one of them used a nn. I find Ellie pretty juvenile; Nora(h) seems like an independent name rather than a nn; and I'm in two minds about Nell and Nellie - I think I prefer Nell, but I don't really like either.
