[Opinions] Sebastian
Thoughts? Also, what do you think about Hudson?

Sebastian makes me think of two very different characters that both seem to have a butler like role.

My only real issue with Sebastian is its lack of good nick names. Seb and Sebby are intolerably babyish. Bastian is okay, but its a bit of a mouthful.
Hudson reminds me of Hudson Bay. It seems more like a last name than a first name.

I like both Sebastian and Hudson. Over the years they've both featured on my long list, currently Sebastian is still there and Hudson is not. Although, Hudson fits in with my current naming-style more than Sebastian does!
I don't think I could ever use Sebastian because it is just so long and a little clunky. My other half also thinks it's massively upper class and pretentious.
Despite liking Hudson on paper, I couldn't use it either because I find the initial "Hud" sound too hard. Plus there are a multitude of other "-son" names I love more.

I adore Sebastian. Classy af and it can work as cute on a cute or dignified and sexy on an adult.
Plus, I think of Sebastian Stan and that's a wonderful connection, imo.
Way better than Sebastian the crab from The Little Mermaid although I guess all things considered, he's a friendly crustacean so that's cool too.
I don't dislike Seb or Bastian, but I've fallen for Basha (rhymes with Sasha) lately. I am staunchly against Sebby or Baz.
And I dislike Hudson because of a family I used to know with that surname who would pretty snobby. So I wouldn't trust my opinion on that one.

I love Sebastian, it's in my Top 10. I also love the nickname Seb, not keen on Bastian at all, it sounds very abrupt and even violent to my hears.
Hudson is ok. Very trendy or preppy in style. I would use it if it was a family name or had special significance, other than that there are too many other great first names for boys.

I'm fond of the nn of Seb as well (: I don't know how I feel about Bastian but I know I definetely don't care for 'Bash' which seems to be the most common nn I keep hearing for that name.
