The father of this family likes short, strong names, preferably classic with no creative spellings. (He always had to spell out his own name to everyone.) The mother favors word names, whether it's plants, virtues, colors or something else. Her own parents were hippies and it shows in her name.

The father likes unusual names. He was alway one of two or three in his peer group with the same first name, and he doesn't want that for his kids. The mother likes long names with short nicknames, and is firm that her daughters won't have female versions of male names, so no Josephines or Henriettas. (She was named for her father.)

One of the mothers is genderqueer, and is determined that the children will have names that work for either sex. Her own name - which she chose as an adult - reflects this feeling. The other mother fancies all things Celtic, and would like Irish, Scottish or Welsh names. Her own name she considers boringly English.

The parents agree that their children should have two middle names. At least one name for each child should be short, at least one long, at least one common and at least one uncommon. The mother likes names for boys that are now mostly used for girls, but the father insists that they only be middle names. He wants first names that have several different nicknames. Names of the parents are entirely up to you.
