I would pronounce it Vi-TAH-lee-ah, rather than Vee-TAH-lee-ah, as the 'Vee' part would end up sounding too much like a non-Italian trying to sound Italian, whilst Vi-TAH-lee-ah sounds effortless, and more authentic.

I don't think they have the I sound (like in "bit") in italian... I'm pretty sure they say EE to an i.
I never heard this name in italy! but i think it's pronunciated with I not EE.
